Council Tax Severely Mentally Impaired Exemption (SMI)
What is this service?
Should the person living with dementia be in receipt of benefit ie Attendance Allowance, Personal Independence Payment or Disability Living Allowance, you can apply for 25% Discount Council Tax Exemption - you need to download online copy of SMI Form and the GP will need to complete and sign the relevant section - please check for more info on the Chelmsford City Council website.
