Salvation Army

About

The Salvation Army is part of the Christian church with emphasis on saving souls, growing saints and serving suffering humanity.

The Salvation Army expresses its faith through charitable action by working at the heart of communities across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. We have 650 churches and community centres where we offer friendship, practical help and support to some of the most disadvantage people in our communities. Motivated by our Christian faith we offer practical support and services to all who need them, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual orientation. Our work includes:
• Homelessness
• Modern slavery
• Poverty
• Addiction
• Campaigning and social policy
• Older people
• Community - debt advice, unemployment, isolation
